NFL Week 12: Cowboys 24, Raiders 7

Summary

This year we added the Oakland Raiders to the laundry list of teams that we annually slaughter on Thanksgiving. Every year we always have a stellar performance from one player, and this year, to nobody's surprise, that guy was Miles Austin. He lit up the stat sheet with 145 yards on 7 catches and a touchdown. This is such an accomplishment because he did it against arguably the best cornerback in the league, Nnamdi Asomugha. Our run game wasn't too shabby themselves either. we rushed for 195 yards and 1 TD. Each of our running backs had long runs over 40 yards. Tashard Choice had a 66-yard blast on a wildcat play, Felix Jones had a 46 yard scamper that was also a TD and Marion Barber III had a 42-yard run. As usual, we were clicking on all cylinders on defense and offense. Tony Romo threw for 309 yards and 2 TD's along with zero interceptions. As a team, we didn't have a turnover and we caused one. Critics will say this wasn't a HUGE win because it isn't. BUT, keep this in mind: the Raiders beat two winning teams (Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles) who has a combined record of 15-7, and one is a division winner.

NFL Week 11: Cowboys 7, Redskins 6

(Sorry for the late post!)

Summary

What can I say about this game? Except that the Cowboys stunk like hot garbage juice on an early summer day. For the second straight week, Dallas was held scoreless until the fourth quarter. They could not convert on 3rd and 4th down situations, and the were missing vital red-zone conversions and field goals. the only thing that allowed us to rally back and win was Shaun Suisham's two missed fields goals. Miles Austin had himself a bad day, only catchign for passes for 43 yards. One, and the only, thing that was good is that when it counted, Romo came through in the clutch and delivered our only touchdown to Patrick Crayton after Romo spun off a defender who could've ended the game with a sack for a loss of yards. None the less, we weren't supposed to go down o the wire with a team that we are CLEARLY better than. I guess that why you play the game*shrugs*
